Join our family
One man founded Vipp in 1939. His daughter inherited the company in 1992 and together with her two children, she was determined to scale Vipp beyond the professional market. Today, 60 carefully selected colleagues propel Vipp out in the world. This page is dedicated to the future VIPs of Vipp who will join us in the quest to redesign how we live with objects.
Why join Vipp
Vipp is a collective of people, products, and places
aiming to refine how we live with objects through long-lasting design experiences.
In size, we span from the Vipp hook to our Vipp hotel.
In materials, we range from steel to soft upholstery.
In objects, we see inheritance for the next generation.
In our pedal bin, we found a design philosophy standing the test of time.
In durability, both physically and emotionally we find our purpose.
In ambition, we wish to evolve from single products to holistic design experiences.
In our hotel, one-of-a-kind aesthetic environments upscale this experience.
In people, we find the VIPs of Vipp who nourish our journey from a bin to a brand.

Who we are
We are in it for the long run
In more than 80 years, Vipp has been family-owned and family-run. Today, Vipp is a third generation family company owned by Jette Egelund, and her children Sofie Christensen Egelund and Kasper Egelund who together with a team of 60 colleagues bring the legacy inherited from Holger Nielsen into the future.
We are not all family related in the literal sense but think and operate as one with eye for our long-term values. Following this recipe allows us to chase the big dreams instead of the short-term profits. It enables us to continuously water the seed that Holger sowed in 1939 which has already grown from a bin to a kitchen to a shelter. We have come a long way since the bin, and the journey has only just begun.
Where we work
Our Copenhagen home
While Vipp is present with own stores or through partners in more than 30 countries our roots remain Danish. Copenhagen is the city we call home. Nestled in the industrial area of Islands Brygge, a former printing factory makes up the home of Vipp. A scenic bikeride over the canal brings us to a rare backyard oasis encircled by a myriad of industrial building structures with historic charm.

‘At Vipp there is room for big ideas. Both literally and figuratively. Ideas can be speedily executed due to a flat organisation.’

In a classic cast-iron buidling, a 350 square-meter TriBeCa loft in a former factory dating back to 1883 unveils itself as Vipp’s stateside domicile.
