Design for the long run

Rather than creating more, we create better: designing for durability, refining materials and packaging, and minimizing waste. Through transparency, recognized certifications, and responsible practices, we help customers make conscious choices. Longevity is at our core, and to us, sustainability means honouring our heritage and responsibility by crafting design that will stand the test of time.

Longevity

Since 1939, every new Vipp product has been born from the same dream; to manufacture long-lasting tools for everyday life. Our designs are stripped of fading trends and filled with carefully considered, highly engineered details - crafted with longevity and a final footprint in mind.

  • 01 Story of the bin
It started by chance. In 1932, 17-year-old Holger Nielsen won a car in a lottery which he decided to sell to invest the money in a metal lathe.
  • 02 Designed for repair
    .
From classics that have been around for decades to novelties yet to write history - all designed with repairable construction and replaceable parts.
  • 03 Extended product warranty
    .
For us, sustainability equals longevity, which is why extended warranties of 5–10 years are becoming the new standard.
  • 04 We care
Take care of your Vipp products. With regular maintenance and the right care, they’ll last for years to come.

Materials and packaging

We collaborate with suppliers and partners who share our values, and with whom we can combine our expertise and specialized knowledge. Our goal is to make conscious material choices and optimize packaging solutions to minimize environmental impact.

  • 01 Materials
A silence closure, a subtle sound, a tactile touch, and material mastery elevate a simple object into a sensory, enduring encounter.
  • 02 Packaging done smart
We're reducing energy consumption in transportation by designing products for efficient disassembly and compact shipping.
  • 03 Rubbish
A waste bin made of waste. ‘Rubbish’ is a renewable take on our pedal bin from 1939, a design classic in 75% recycled materials.

Certifications and reports

We adhere to recognised certifications and provide transparent reports on our ESG efforts, when available, ensuring our progress is measured, monitored, and shared.
