VIPP x STUDIO KO
In an unexpected rendez-vous between refinement and roughness, Vipp has invited Marrakesh- and Paris-based architecture practice Studio KO to design an ephemeral guesthouse in a restored garage in the courtyard of the Vipp HQ in Copenhagen.
Studio KO unveils their interpretation of a Vipp guesthouse responding to Vipp’s growing portfolio of architecturally significant properties in spectacular settings around the world, from Puglia to Tasmania and Todos Santos. Studio KO has crafted a visionary space that examines notions of home and the meeting of cultures.

“To us Vipp represents the North, with all the excellence of its design and industrial production quality, while we at Studio KO bring a very different sensibility, drawing from ancient cultures, as our roots are in the South.“

Join 2nd and 3rd generation Vipp owners on a private tour through Vipp’s Copenhagen domicile for a unique and personal glimpse into the past, present, and future world of Vipp.
Vipp is a Danish, 3rd generation family-owned company. Founded by metalsmith Holger Nielsen in the small town of Randers, Denmark in 1939, his entrepreneurial debut was a practical waste bin initially crafted for his wife’s hair salon. In over half a century, Vipp remained a prerogative for the professional market.
When Holger passes away in the beginning of the nineties, his daughter Jette inherits the bin and a metal workshop in the backyard of her childhood home in Randers. Joined by her children, Kasper and Sofie, they set out to transform the bin into a brand.
