In a Copenhagen backyard in Islands Brygge, Vipp has transformed a 100-year-old pencil factory into a social dining room dedicated to Vipp Supper Club.
The Bauhaus-inspired building was once the home of 'Viking', manufacturer of the Danish iconic yellow school pencils. In 1919, the two-story factory building produced its first pencils. After a century as a production facility and showroom for various design brands, Vipp decided to repurpose the space as a social venue hosting supper clubs with world-class chefs.
“It’s not a restaurant. But we do invite spectacular chefs to cook up intimate dinners. Nor is it a nightclub. But we do invite talented musicians to play a tune. Nor is it a showroom. But we have invited renowned designers and artists to sharpen up the venue with a Vipp kitchen and furniture.“
KASPER EGELUND, CEO & 3RD GENERATION OWNER OF VIPP
