Vipp Art Bins
20 YEARS OF ART BINS
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Vipp’s guest artist collaborations, a recurring event in Vipp’s history first initiated in Paris in 2005 during a charity auction and followed by an exhibition at the Louvre. To celebrate this special anniversary, Vipp is revisiting its archives of legendary designer bins and sending them on a travelling exhibition in Vipp stores throughout Europe.

A ‘Cosmic Voyage’ of 36 unique pieces, each one a reflection of the intersection between art, design, and functionality by Chilean artist Mauricio Clavero. The exhibition, which toured major European cities, was a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, challenging the boundaries of what functional objects can be.
"For the Carrousel du Louvre exhibition, I was invited to create an immersive art experience using Vipp bins and soap dispensers as my canvas. I transformed these everyday objects into works of art, covering them in Swarowski crystals, Sicis mosaics, and lighting elements from Ambiance Lumière."

“I wanted to give a bit of love to the bin, the object that sometimes gets forgotten in the kitchen. That tool deserves more love.”

“There’s a certain appealing irony in transforming trash to art. Doubling as both and art piece and functional tool, the editions pay tribute to the artist as well as the product design itself and provide a highly contemporary twist to a historic design from the 30s.”
– KASPER EGELUND, CEO AND 3RD GENERATION VIPP OWNER.
