For 3daysofdesign 2024, Vipp celebrates its 85 years anniversary with a special exhibition dedicated to the brand’s heritage in design and metalwork.

“I like the simplicity of a subtle colour choice to match the new all-metal kitchen, making it stand out. It is completed with Vipp classics dressed in fresh upholsteries and topped with an artistic interpretation of a salon station as a nod to Vipp’s history.“

Vipp Home – Located in the heart of Copenhagen, sets the scene where the recently introduced V3 kitchen takes centre stage in a modern new version. Accompanied by an array of novelty products showcasing new upholsteries and advanced material compositions, the 125 square meter space has been transformed by interior designer Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, using a restrained colour palette of neutral tones.

Reimagined by interior designer, Julie Cloos Mølsgaard, the space radiates design quality with a harmonious palette of soft and muted tones, complemented by materials such as metal, marble, and Vipp’s novelty signature upholsteries.

Novelties

Get an exclusive preview of upcoming Vipp designs and novelty upholsteries, including a new furniture duo for the Open-Air collection, as well as a long anticipated stainless-steel bin and accessory collection. For an elevated workplace setting, an extra-padded, height-adjustable Swivel chair and a new office desk in aluminium and marble will also be unveiled. A lot of effort is put into developing every single Vipp product, making sure that it can stand the test of time and be passed down to the next generation.

Art collaboration – Experience a creative homage to Vipp’s heritage with a unique hair salon installation in collaboration with Danish artist Kirstine Roepstorff, paying tribute to Vipp origins. A custom-made art piece in brass, an iteration of an artwork included in Roepstorff’s ‘Orientation Series’ from 2023, serves as mirror in the installation, adding contract to the modern Vipp Swivel chairs in aluminium.

The freestanding units are encased in naturally anodized aluminium, featuring elegant, curved profiles along the edges. The design is finished off by a sleek 4-millimeter stainless-steel countertop hovering effortlessly above the cabinets.

About Vipp

Vipp is a Danish, 3rd generation family-owned company. Founded by metalsmith Holger Nielsen in the small town of Randers, Denmark in 1939, his entrepreneurial debut was a practical waste bin initially crafted for his wife’s hair salon. In over half a century, Vipp remained a prerogative for the professional market. When Holger passes away in the beginning of the nineties, his daughter Jette inherits the bin and a metal workshop in the backyard of her childhood home in Randers. Joined by her children, Kasper and Sofie, they set out to transform the bin into a brand.
