Jette Egelund, second generation in Vipp

“My father used his craftsmanship to not only build the Vipp bins but to also restore American cars. This bin is a tribute to his craftmanship and passion. The light blue colour of the bin is identical to his favourite car – a 1950 Nash Rambler.”

A love for functional design

With its soft curves, quality materials and timeless aesthetics, the classic Vipp bin shares the same idiom as vintage American vehicles. Vipp founder Holger Nielsen had great interest in American cars and the functional, industrial design legacy they represent; hard to wear out with a delicate duality of softness and hardness.

VIPP HERITAGE

From Marie to MoMA

Today, still family-driven and family-owned, Vipp has grown into a large portfolio of design objects spanning from the Vipp kitchen and bathroom accessories to lamps and furniture. In 2009, the bin was accepted into the permanent design collection at the MoMA in New York. In 2020, we celebrate our heritage with a limited edition bin.
